Picked up a new toy yesterday called the "Pico Dolly Kit" for small things like GoPro, Cel Phones or even DSLRs.
It's a handy little thing, very well designed and sturdy but also light. The arm is adjustable in many ways. I haven't gotten around to attaching my GoPro to it yet, but I tested it out with my cel phone.
Problem is the clamp that the kit comes with is just a tad small for newer larger smart phones like the Nexus, and the clamps were slippery so it couldn't hold my phone so my partner made an adjustment seen below:
The shoelaces provided enough traction to keep the phone in place. Plus you can string around the front of the phone to secure it to the clamp to prevent it from slipping out and possibly cracking your screen/damaging the phone.
In the near future I will apply some engineering for this solution, perhaps some double sided tape with foam for a grip.
Check out how it looks below, using my cell phone and posted on our instagram.
